'Palimpsest' is an acrylic mixed media painting on a cradled plywood panel.
I never begin a painting with a pre-formed plan and I enjoy letting the subject emerge.
I really enjoyed letting this character reveal herself, even though this painting was a bit of a challenge! Her head-dress and body seems to be slowly emerging and her expression seems quiet and contemplative (she is a bit of an enigma to be honest!)

The painting can be hung straight onto the wall if you so wish, the edges of the panel are painted dark grey.
I have signed the panel in pencil on the back.
